Minority Deputy Ranking Member on Education Clashes With Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Over 2022 Budget
Dr. Clement Apaak, Minority Deputy Ranking Member on Education and Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister of Information has clashed on Peace FM today, 25, November 2021 in a phone interview.
According to him, the Minority in Parliament will not accept the E-levy the New Patriotic Party government has introduced which is set to be debated on 26, November 2021.
He claims the E-levy is meant to bring hardship because of the population of less privileged people using the mobile money service.
According to Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Majority in Parliament are finding ways to explain the details of the budget to the Minority in Parliament.
In a phone interview of Peace FM’s evening news, the Minister of Information assured Ghanaians that the E-levy is not as bad as it has been sensitized by the Minority in Parliament. He claims Ghanaians should accept it because it would help the country.
Dr. Clement Apaak and Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah clashed on live radio, according to Clement Apaak, the minority would not accept the E-levy in the debate to be made in parliament tomorrow.
